Before the weeks nearing to the Kota Kinablu trip, a group of students, including myself, will be climbing the highest mountain in South-East Asia! Thrilled of the trip, I began taking my own personal hikes up and down the hills in the area where I lived but it then became compulsory that the group should exercise to increase muscle mass.
The purpose of the muscle building was to make sure we were strong and fit enough to climb the mountain. Knowing that I was already planning to reach the mountain summit first, I began to train vigorously.
It was held at the school’s hall at 8 in the morning on a Saturday; that was one thing I didn’t appreciate as I am less of a ‘morning person’. We did laps, weights, steps, different body-building moves and the combination of all. It became more of a healthy thing that gave me the realisation; I was able to get more out of myself to exert more energy as well as more workouts with the company of my friends! As well as good techno music.
Not that there was any teamwork, but the presence of a friend doing the same thing made it both a competitive thing and enjoyment of company. The lessons were never boring, but quite tiring (if there was lack of sleep the night before) especially if sometimes taken too far—lack not drinking any water, one of the habits I have during exercise.
Overall, I liked the workouts. I never liked the times set for the workouts but the place where it was set, the school’s hall, was very convenient. Today, I now only do workouts and play sports with my friends as I know it is most affective that way.
Why the blog??
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 5 years, blogs are the new journals or diaries of the Twenty-first century! The Internet is now the best multi-media for distributing or sharing information; business is booming, teenagers are screaming, paper articles are weeping!
You see, I happen to be one of those chaps who happen to know how to work a blog then to write a journal. This off course is not due to my shame of not having 'neat' handwritting, but the distribution of making a simple, clean presentation of my CAS activities are much easier to navigate online!
If there was one recognisable trait in all my CAS activities, it is my passion for photography. Keeping a good portfolio is just one part of it. Living in the Digital age (and still advancing), we are able to flex our talents and discover... uhh.... new things! My point off course is that i concentrate a lot towards Digital Photography directly from a hobby to a passion and soon, a field of profession. And the best way to distribute and present a compilation or collage of photographs (digitally) is through the internet, hence, why the blog idea spring to life.
That, and i love the internet.
